| My
approach to bodywork is catered to the individual and
in the moment. I don't believe in a cookie-cutting approach of
adjusting. I help clients cultivate a deeper connection to their
body so that there is more awareness of breath, movement and energy,
and how to use these tools to create more space for the body's
own healing to take place.
I believe that healing comes from within. The greatest gift I
could offer my clients is to teach them how to get more intimate
with self-facilitated healing. On my personal journey with my
body, I discovered that someone trying to "fix" me was
not nearly as effective as my body's own ability to heal and self-correct.
My interactive approach to chiropractic emphasizes these concepts.
If I could teach someone tools that will last them a life time,
rather than just a quick fix, ahhhhh...that fulfills my purpose
and intention.

I
have always been fascinated with the body and the way it functions.
In college, I decided to study Biology and Biochemistry. As a
pre-medical student, life was extremely stressful and as a result
I developed sciatica with complications, including excruciating
hip pain. In my case, the pain would alternate between hips, and
at times the exact location would be hard to describe. It just
hurt all over. The pain would get so extreme that I couldn’t
walk, sit or even lay in a comfortable position. Due to my background,
I had some understanding about the body. After months of popping
pills, I realized that the pain was probably not due to a medication
deficiency in my body. As simple as that sounds, that realization
encouraged me to seek other avenues towards health and well-being.
I decided to go to Chiropractic College.
I was very fortunate to find myself surrounded by a large number
of great chiropractors with different educational backgrounds.
This gave me the opportunity to experience different styles of
adjusting (there are over 300 adjusting styles today) and feel
my body’s reaction to them. Some felt better than others,
but through this chiropractic journey my hip pain and sciatica
resolved themselves naturally. I can honestly admit that my life
changed as I became more connected to my body. Without the medications,
I now feel whole and in charge of my own health and well-being.
